Qualifications & Requirements
- Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Care Studies, or a related discipline
- Early Years Level 7 accepted
- Fetac level 5/QQI level 5

- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team

We are currently recruiting Health Care Assistants to join our growing team.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Health Care Assistants to join our growing team. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting young people and vulnerable individuals, promoting their well-being and independence in a safe and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the rights, dignity, and independence of each individual in your care
- Support the implementation of individualised Care and Placement Plans
- Encourage the emotional, physical, educational, and social development of service users
- Liaise with family members and multidisciplinary teams as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Attend regular supervision sessions with the Social Care Leader/Manager
- Adhere to all service policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Fetac level 5/QQI level 5
- A degree level 7+ on the National Framework of Qualifications in one of the following disciplines:
- Social care or Applied Social Studies
- Youth and Community
- BA(Hons) Youth and Community Development
- BA (Hons) Psychology
- Addiction Studies
- BA (Hons) counselling and Addiction Studies
- Disability Diploma (Primary Degree)
- Social Science
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum commitment of 2 shifts per week (3 shifts preferred)
- Empathy, compassion, and a strong client-focused approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A flexible and reliable work ethic
- A full clean driver's license is an advantage but not essential
What We Offer
- Time and a half on Saturdays
- Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
- Flexible shift options:
- Day shifts (e.g., 8:00am – 9:00pm, 10:00am – 11:00pm)
- Night shifts (e.g., 8:30pm – 8:30am)
- Full-time lines or individual shifts available (minimum 2 shifts/week)
- Paid Induction and training hours covered
- Specialist training:
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
- Crisis Management
- First Aid
- Experience working under a Special Care Model of Care
